Simple but classy with hairpin legs. The dimensions for this coffee table are 16" wide, 36" long and 18" tall.

1- I purchased the hairpin legs here and the wood was a couple pieces I had left from an old project. However, you can purchase a 2x8x8 and cut it to 36".

2- I had two pieces of 2x12, so I ripped the boards to 8" wide.

3- Then, I planed and joint the boards to give me a seamless glue line.

4- Then I glued the top and let it sit for a couple of hours for the glue to dry.

5- After the glue had dried, I cut the oversize boards to the final dimension of 36"

Optional: I gave the underside of the table a 45 degree chamfer to give the top a classy look.

6- I sanded the top to 220grit and stained the top with a special walnut stain by Minwax. After the stain dried, I finished the table with a home made wipe-on-poly.

7- I attached the legs to the table and it was done :)
